Box 7DB: your ticket to reimbursement

To activate this tax benefit, it is not enough to have a well-maintained garden: you must correctly declare the amounts spent. Go to form  No. 2042 RICI , and check box  7DB . If this is the first year you are using this service, also check box  7DQ .

It will also be necessary to indicate:

• Amounts paid to the company or to the gardener  employed at home ,
• Social security contributions  where applicable .

Rental property owners will have to use form  2044 ,  line 224. This is a subtlety that is good to know to avoid missing out on reimbursement.
