Classic Butter Cookies:
Step 1: Cream butter and powdered sugar. Mix in egg yolk and vanilla. Add flour and salt. Pipe or shape dough onto baking sheet. Bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes.
Cherry Thumbprint Cookies:
Step 1: Cream butter and sugar. Mix in yolks and vanilla. Add flour and salt. Roll into balls, press a thumbprint in the center, fill with cherry. Bake at 350°F for 12-15 minutes.
Coconut Macaroons:
Step 1: Mix coconut, condensed milk, vanilla, and salt. Scoop onto baking sheet. Bake at 325°F for 18-20 minutes until golden. Drizzle with chocolate if desired.
Peanut Butter Crinkle Cookies:
Step 1: Mix all ingredients, roll dough into balls, then in sugar. Place on baking sheet and bake at 350°F for 10 minutes.
Jam-Filled Sandwich Cookies:
Step 1: Cream butter and sugar, add vanilla, mix in flour. Roll dough, cut into rounds, bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes. Cool, then fill with jam and sandwich together. Dust with powdered sugar.
Storage Information
All cookies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-5 days. For longer storage, freeze for up to 2 months and thaw at room temperature before serving.
