- Raw Foods: Not Always Safe
Raw meat, fish, or eggs may contain bacteria (salmonella, E. coli ) or parasites. Even if they seem natural, these raw foods are not without risk.
Possible consequences : vomiting, diarrhea, fever, inflammation of the pancreas.
Tip : Always seek veterinary advice before any change in diet.
- Grapes and raisins: a fruit to avoid
Whether fresh or dried, grapes can cause acute kidney failure in cats, even in very small amounts.
Safe alternatives : banana, melon or apple (without the seeds), in very small quantities.
- Garlic and onion: discreet toxins
Whether raw, cooked, or powdered, garlic and onion damage red blood cells and can cause severe anemia.
Please note : they are often present in leftover meals, sauces or prepared dishes.
