One day, a young man decided to move his mother into a retirement home, where he only came to see her occasionally.

That day, it was drizzling gently over the city, as if the sky itself felt the gravity of the call. This son, absorbed in the whirlwind of his professional life, did not expect that this phone call would forever change his perspective on his own family history.

A decision taken too quickly

It all began a few years earlier, when his father died. Overwhelmed by responsibilities and disoriented by grief, this only son made a difficult decision:  to place his mother in a nursing home . A comfortable, well-reviewed facility located a few kilometers from his home. He had sworn to visit her every week. But, like many others, he ended up spacing out his visits. The days stretched on, the promises unraveled.
