A middle school student’s back-to-school photo is ruined by a surprise guest

A silent guest… but very real

In one of the images, just behind the girl, curled up in the tree trunk, was a  perfectly camouflaged snake . A surprise guest, just inches away from Brooke. “I didn’t see anything at first. Then suddenly, I saw the snake. My heart stopped,” the mother told a local channel.

She says she remained calm: “I gently asked her to come towards me. She thought I wanted another photo, but I quickly insisted that she move away from the tree.” The snake, visibly untroubled, remained motionless… but the scene could have taken a completely different turn.
