Step 1: In a bowl, whisk together orange juice, lime juice, soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, jalapeño, cilantro, cumin, smoked paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
Step 2: Place the steak in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, making sure it’s well coated. Seal and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for maximum flavor.
Step 3: Preheat the grill or a grill pan over high heat. Remove steak from marinade and let excess drip off.
Step 4: Grill the steak for 4-6 minutes per side, depending on thickness and desired doneness. Let rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly against the grain.
Storage Information
Store leftover carne asada in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in a skillet or microwave. Leftovers are delicious in tacos, burritos, or salads!
