Instructions
Step 1: Fill a pot with water and bring to a boil, then gently lower your eggs into the water and cook for 6 to 7 minutes for perfectly jammy yolks.
Step 2: While the eggs cook, arrange your fresh lettuce or mixed greens on a plate as your base.
Step 3: Add the halved cherry tomatoes and cheese cubes around the plate in a visually appealing arrangement.
Step 4: Slice your ripe avocado and fan the slices on top of the greens.
Step 5: Remove the eggs from hot water and let cool slightly, then peel and halve them, placing them in the center of your plate.
Step 6: Drizzle the olive oil over the entire plate, then season with salt and black pepper.
Step 7: Add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice if desired for brightness, then serve immediately and enjoy.
Storage and Reheating Tips
This plate is best enjoyed fresh and served immediately after assembly. The greens will stay crisp and the jammy eggs will maintain their perfect texture.
If you must prepare components ahead, store the greens, tomatoes, and cheese in separate containers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Keep the avocado separate until serving to prevent browning, and store cooked eggs in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
Assemble the plate just before eating for the best presentation and texture. This is not a dish that reheats well, so it’s ideal for fresh consumption.
