Instructions
Step 1: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving about 1 tablespoon of bacon fat in the pan.
Step 2: Add diced onion to the skillet and sauté until soft, about 5 minutes. Stir in brown sugar, balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, and the cooked bacon. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat and let cool — this is your bacon jam.
Step 3: Season ground beef with salt, pepper, and granulated garlic. Form into small slider patties.
Step 4: Cook patties on a grill or skillet over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes per side, or until desired doneness. Add cheese slices in the last minute to melt.
Step 5: Assemble sliders by placing the cheesy patties on buns and topping generously with bacon jam.
Storage Information
Store leftover bacon jam in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Reheat slightly before using. Assembled sliders are best enjoyed fresh, but patties can be stored separately and reheated gently.
