Bacon Onion Tomato Pie

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the pie crust for 10 minutes until lightly golden. Set aside to cool slightly.

Step 2: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels. Crumble once cooled.

Step 3: In the same skillet, cook sliced onions until soft and caramelized, about 10–12 minutes. Set aside.

Step 4: Layer the pie crust with sliced tomatoes, cooked onions, and crumbled bacon.

Step 5: In a bowl, mix shredded cheeses, mayonnaise, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the pie filling.

Step 6: Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.

Step 7: Let the pie rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with chopped fresh basil or parsley.

Storage Information

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat individual slices in the oven or microwave. Not recommended for freezing due to the fresh tomato content.
