BBQ Chicken Wings Plate with Fries & Garden Salad

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to ensure crispy skin.

Step 2: In a small bowl, mix together smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss the wings with 1 tbsp olive oil, then coat evenly with the spice mixture.

Step 3: Arrange wings on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 20 minutes until starting to brown.

Step 4: While wings cook, prepare the fries. Cut potatoes into uniform sticks, soak in cold water for 10 minutes, then pat dry. Toss with 2 tbsp vegetable oil and salt. Spread on a separate baking sheet.

Step 5: Add the fries to the oven alongside the wings and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and crispy.

Step 6: Remove wings from oven and brush generously with BBQ sauce. Return to oven for 5 more minutes to caramelize the sauce.

Step 7: For the salad, toss romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, and cucumber slices in a bowl. Whisk together 2 tbsp olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Drizzle over salad and top with crumbled feta cheese.

Step 8: Plate everything together, wings, fries, and salad, and serve immediately while hot.

Storage and Reheating Tips

Store leftover wings in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Keep salad separate from the dressing to prevent wilting. Reheat wings in a 350°F oven for 8-10 minutes until warmed through and crispy again.

Fries are best enjoyed fresh, but you can store them in the refrigerator and reheat in a 375°F oven for 5-7 minutes to restore crispiness. Avoid microwaving fries as they’ll become soggy.

The salad components can be prepped ahead and stored separately. Assemble and dress just before serving for the freshest taste and best texture.
