Instructions

Step 1: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain any excess grease, then add taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 5 minutes until thickened. Let cool slightly.

Step 2: On a large platter or in a serving bowl, layer the chopped lettuce as the base.

Step 3: Top with tortilla chips, then spoon the seasoned beef evenly over the chips.

Step 4: Sprinkle on the cheddar cheese, tomatoes, cucumber, green onions, olives, and cilantro.

Step 5: Add any additional toppings like sour cream, salsa, or guacamole just before serving.

Storage Information

For best results, serve immediately after assembling. To prep ahead, store components separately—keep the lettuce, toppings, and beef in separate containers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Assemble just before serving to keep everything crisp and fresh.
