As a Tea (the most common method)
For an effective dandelion tea:
- Amount of dried leaves: 1 to 2 teaspoons, or about 2 to 4 grams
- Water quantity: 250 ml (about one large cup)
- Water temperature: Simmering, around 90–95 °C (just before boiling)
- Steep time: 10 minutes, covered to preserve active ingredients
- Preparation: Pour hot water over leaves, let steep, then filter before drinking.
- Frequency: 1 to 2 cups a day, preferably in the morning and/or early afternoon
Taste tip: You can add half a teaspoon of honey or a bit of lemon to offset the bitterness.
In Capsules (a convenient option)
- Usual dosage: 300 to 500 mg per capsule
- Recommended intake: 2 to 3 capsules daily, divided into 1 or 2 doses during meals
