Breakfast Grilled Cheese with Eggs

Instructions

Step 1: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until browned and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.

Step 2: In the same skillet, scramble the beaten eggs, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook until just set and fluffy.

Step 3: Butter one side of each slice of bread. On the unbuttered side of 4 slices, layer 1 slice of cheese, scrambled eggs, sausage, another slice of cheese, then top with a second slice of bread, buttered side out.

Step 4: Heat a clean skillet over medium heat. Cook the sandwiches 2–3 minutes per side, pressing down lightly, until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted.

Step 5: Slice and serve hot with your favorite breakfast sides or on its own!

Storage Information

These sandwiches are best enjoyed fresh. However, you can refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat in a skillet or toaster oven until warm and crispy.
