Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Step 2: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and powdered sugar until light and creamy.
Step 4: Add the egg, vanilla extract, and milk, mixing until fully combined.
Step 5: Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until a soft dough forms.
Step 6: Shape portions of dough into finger-like cookie shapes and place them on the prepared baking sheets.
Step 7: Bake for 12 to 14 minutes, or until the cookies are lightly golden around the edges.
Step 8: Allow the cookies to cool completely before decorating.
Step 9: Melt the chocolate chips with the coconut oil until smooth.
Step 10: Melt the white chocolate or pink candy melts separately and tint with pink food coloring if desired.
Step 11: Dip the tops of the cookies into the melted chocolate or candy coating and place them on parchment paper to set.
Step 12: Use melted candy melts and a piping bag or toothpick to create paw print designs on each cookie.
Step 13: Allow the decorations to fully harden before serving.
Storage and Reheating Tips
Store Cat Paw Dipped Cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
Keep the cookies in a cool place to prevent the chocolate coating from melting.
Freeze undecorated cookies for up to 2 months in a freezer-safe container.
If stacking cookies, place parchment paper between layers to protect the decorations.
