Instructions:
Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook the French fries on a baking sheet according to package directions until crispy. Set aside.
Step 2: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion until browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat.
Step 3: Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Step 4: In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, layer the crispy fries on the bottom. Spread the beef mixture evenly over the fries.
Step 5: Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese and diced pickles over the top. Drizzle with cheese sauce if using.
Step 6: Bake uncovered for 15–20 minutes, or until bubbly and golden. Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions.
