Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
Step 2: Cook the rotini pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Step 3: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Step 4: Add the diced onion and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until softened.
Step 5: Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Step 6: Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess grease if needed.
Step 7: Stir in the marinara sauce, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, paprika, crushed red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
Step 8: Simmer the sauce for 5 minutes to blend the flavors.
Step 9: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until evenly coated in the sauce.
Step 10: Transfer the pasta mixture to the prepared baking dish.
Step 11: Sprinkle mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
Step 12: Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Step 13: Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
Storage and Reheating Tips
Store leftover pasta in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
To reheat, microwave individual portions for 1 to 2 minutes or warm the pasta in the oven at 350°F (175°C) until heated through.
This pasta bake can also be frozen for up to 2 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before reheating.
