Cheesy Italian Beef Penne in Tomato Marinara Sauce

Instructions

step 1 Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
step 2 Cook penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
step 3 Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
step 4 Add chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3–4 minutes.
step 5 Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
step 6 Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
step 7 Drain excess fat and stir in marinara sauce and crushed tomatoes.
step 8 Season with Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
step 9 Simmer for 5–7 minutes until slightly thickened.
step 10 Add cooked penne to the sauce and mix until well combined.
step 11 Transfer to a baking dish and sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top.
step 12 Bake for 15–20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
step 13 Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
