Instructions:
Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
Step 2: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until browned. Drain excess fat.
Step 3: Stir in cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until combined and creamy.
Step 4: Spread the beef mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Layer the frozen tater tots on top in a single layer.
Step 5: Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese generously over the top.
Step 6: Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes or until the tater tots are golden and the cheese is bubbly.
Step 7: Let cool for 5 minutes, garnish with chopped parsley if desired, and serve hot.
Storage Information:
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave. This casserole can also be assembled ahead and refrigerated until ready to bake.
