Instructions
Step 1 Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
/n Step 2 In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until browned and fully cooked, then drain excess grease.
/n Step 3 Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
/n Step 4 Stir in cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, milk, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder until well combined.
/n Step 5 Spread the beef mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
/n Step 6 Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the mixture.
/n Step 7 Arrange the frozen tater tots in an even layer on top.
/n Step 8 Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes until the tater tots are golden and crispy.
/n Step 9 Remove from oven, sprinkle remaining cheese on top, and bake for an additional 5 minutes until melted.
/n Step 10 Garnish with chopped green onions and serve warm.
Storage and Reheating Tips
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) until warmed through to keep the tots crispy.
Microwave reheating works but may soften the tater tots.
This casserole can be frozen for up to 2 months; thaw overnight before reheating.
