Step 1 Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper. /nStep 2 In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder. Cut in the cold butter until crumbly. /nStep 3 Add egg and vanilla extract to the mixture and stir until a dough forms. /nStep 4 Press about two-thirds of the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust. /nStep 5 In another bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and egg until smooth and creamy. /nStep 6 Spread the cheesecake mixture evenly over the crust. /nStep 7 Spoon the cherry pie filling over the cheesecake layer. /nStep 8 Crumble the remaining dough over the top. /nStep 9 Bake for 35–40 minutes until the top is lightly golden. /nStep 10 Allow to cool completely before slicing into bars.
