Instructions:
Step 1: In a bowl, toss the sliced chicken with 1 tablespoon soy sauce, cornstarch, and black pepper. Let it marinate for 10-15 minutes.
Step 2: Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 4-5 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
Step 3: In the same skillet, add the remaining oil. Sauté garlic, ginger, and onions for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Step 4: Add broccoli florets and bell peppers. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until they begin to soften but remain crisp.
Step 5: Return the chicken to the pan. Add remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and water or broth. Stir well to coat everything evenly.
Step 6: Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and vegetables are fully coated.
Step 7: Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds or green onions if desired. Enjoy with steamed rice or noodles.
Storage and Reheating Tips:
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet over medium heat or microwave until warmed through. Add a splash of water if needed to loosen the sauce.
