Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with olive oil or cooking spray.
Step 2: Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and oregano. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in the beaten eggs, and coat with a mixture of breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.
Step 3: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown (they will finish cooking in the oven).
Step 4: Arrange the seared chicken in the baking dish. Spoon marinara sauce over the top and sprinkle generously with mozzarella cheese.
Step 5: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F/74°C) and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Step 6: Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil, and serve hot. Enjoy with pasta, garlic bread, or a fresh salad!
