Instructions
Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil and place a wire rack on top.
Step 2: Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels. Toss with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Arrange in a single layer on the wire rack.
Step 3: Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden brown. (Alternatively, deep fry or air fry the wings to your preference.)
Step 4: Meanwhile, prepare the sauce. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine soy sauce, honey, ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, garlic, and ginger. Simmer for 5-7 minutes.
Step 5: If desired, stir in cornstarch slurry and simmer another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens to a glaze-like consistency.
Step 6: Toss the cooked wings in the sauce until well coated. Serve immediately, garnished with sesame seeds or chopped green onions if desired.
Storage and Reheating Tips
Store leftover wings in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in an oven or air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 10-12 minutes until hot and crispy. You can also reheat in the microwave, but they’ll lose their crispiness.
