Instructions:
step 1 Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté onions and garlic until fragrant.
step 2 Add ground beef and cook until browned. Stir in tomato paste, tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10–15 minutes until thickened. Set aside.
step 3 Preheat oven or grill. Cook hot dogs until heated through and slightly charred.
step 4 Toast hot dog buns lightly, then place a hot dog in each bun. Spoon chili on top and sprinkle with shredded cheddar.
step 5 Bake assembled hot dogs for 3–5 minutes until cheese melts (optional).
step 6 Toss cut fries with oil and salt. Bake at 220°C (425°F) for 30–35 minutes, flipping halfway, until crispy and golden.
step 7 Serve chili cheese dogs hot with crispy fries and a side of ketchup.
Storage and Reheating Tips:
Store leftover chili separately in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in a pan over low heat. Hot dogs can be reheated in the microwave or stovetop. Reheat fries in the oven or air fryer for best crispiness.
