Instructions:
step 1: In a bowl, combine soy sauce, white sugar, cornstarch, ground ginger, and garlic powder. Mix until smooth.
step 2: Add sliced beef to the marinade and let sit for at least 15 minutes.
step 3: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
step 4: Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned and just cooked through. Remove and set aside.
step 5: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil and stir-fry the bell peppers and onion for 3–4 minutes until crisp-tender.
step 6: Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the beef broth.
step 7: Stir well and simmer for another 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
step 8: Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
Storage and Reheating Tips:
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet over medium heat or in the microwave until warmed through. For best results, add a splash of water or broth when reheating to maintain the sauce’s consistency.
