Instructions

Step 1 Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 4 Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract, and mix until fully combined.

Step 6 Fold in the chocolate chips or chunks evenly.
Step 7 Scoop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing cookies apart.
Step 8 Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until edges are golden and centers remain soft.
Step 9 Remove from the oven and sprinkle with flaky sea salt if desired.
Step 10 Allow cookies to cool slightly before serving.

Storage and Reheating Tips

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
For longer storage, freeze baked cookies for up to 2 months.
Reheat in the microwave for a few seconds to restore a soft, gooey texture.
You can also warm them in the oven at 300°F (150°C) for a few minutes.
