Instructions
Step 1: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
Step 2: Add taco seasoning and water to the beef. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the mixture thickens.
Step 3: Spread a layer of warmed refried beans over each tostada shell.
Step 4: Top each with a scoop of seasoned ground beef, followed by shredded cheddar cheese.
Step 5: Add shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, diced avocado, and chopped cilantro.
Step 6: Finish with a dollop of sour cream and extra toppings as desired. Serve immediately.
Storage Information
Store leftover beef and beans separately in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat and assemble tostadas fresh when ready to eat to maintain crispiness.
