Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

Step 2: In a medium bowl whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

Step 3: In a large bowl beat the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Step 4: Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

Step 5: Stir in the vanilla extract.

Step 6: Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix until combined.

Step 7: Fold in the semi-sweet and milk chocolate chips.

Step 8: Scoop the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing the cookies about 2 inches apart.

Step 9: Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are still slightly soft.

Step 10: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Step 11: Serve warm or at room temperature with a glass of milk.

Storage and Reheating Tips

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. To keep them extra soft, place a slice of bread in the container with the cookies. For longer storage, freeze baked cookies or cookie dough for up to 3 months. Reheat cookies in the microwave for 8–10 seconds for a fresh-from-the-oven taste.
