Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
Step 2: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Step 3: In another bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Step 4: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
Step 5: Fold in the chocolate chips.
Step 6: Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about ¾ full.
Step 7: Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top of each muffin.
Step 8: Bake for 18 to 22 minutes or until the tops are golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Step 9: Allow the muffins to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
Step 10: Serve warm or at room temperature.

Store chocolate chip muffins in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
For longer storage, refrigerate for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 2 months.
Reheat muffins in the microwave for 10 to 15 seconds to enjoy them warm and soft.
