Instructions
Step 1 In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Step 2 In another bowl, mix milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Step 3 Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined, keeping the batter slightly lumpy.
Step 4 Heat a nonstick pan over medium heat and lightly grease with butter.
Step 5 Pour batter onto the pan to form pancakes of desired size.
Step 6 Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown.
Step 7 Repeat with remaining batter, adding more butter as needed.
Step 8 Stack the pancakes on a plate.
Step 9 Top with butter and drizzle generously with maple syrup.
Step 10 Serve immediately while warm.
Storage and Reheating Tips
Store leftover pancakes in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a toaster, skillet, or microwave until warm. Pancakes can also be frozen for up to 2 months and reheated directly from frozen.
