Country Apple Fritter Bread Recipe

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

Step 2: In a small bowl, combine chopped apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Set aside.

Step 3: In a large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs and vanilla.

Step 4: Mix in flour and baking powder, then stir in the milk until just combined.

Step 5: Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Layer half of the apple mixture on top, then repeat with remaining batter and apples. Lightly swirl with a knife.

Step 6: Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Step 7: For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract. Drizzle over cooled bread before serving.
