Step 1 Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan. /nStep 2 In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. /nStep 3 In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then beat in eggs and vanilla. /nStep 4 Mix in sour cream, then gradually add the dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in cranberries. /nStep 5 In a separate bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla until smooth. /nStep 6 Pour half of the batter into the loaf pan, spread the cream cheese mixture over it, then top with remaining batter. /nStep 7 Bake for 50–60 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool before slicing and serving.
Storage and Reheating Tips
Store the bread in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days due to the cream cheese layer. Bring to room temperature or warm slices slightly before serving. For longer storage, wrap tightly and freeze for up to 2 months, then thaw overnight in the refrigerator.
