Instructions
step 1 In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter over medium-high heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
step 2 In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and melt the remaining tablespoon of butter. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
step 3 Pour in the heavy cream and stir in the Parmesan cheese and dried herbs. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
step 4 Add red pepper flakes (if using) and fresh parsley. Return the shrimp to the pan and coat well in the sauce. Simmer for 1-2 minutes to heat through.
step 5 Serve the creamy garlic herb shrimp over a bed of warm cooked rice. Garnish with more fresh parsley and cracked pepper if desired.
Storage and Reheating Tips
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat shrimp gently in a skillet over low heat or in the microwave at reduced power to prevent overcooking. Add a splash of cream or milk if the sauce thickens too much.
