Step 6: Slowly pour in the milk and heavy cream, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens slightly.
Step 7: Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in half of the mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese.
Step 8: Arrange the bread slices on the prepared baking sheet and lightly toast them in the oven for 3 to 4 minutes.
Step 9: Spoon the creamy mushroom mixture evenly over each slice of toast.
Step 10: Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
Step 11: Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly with lightly golden edges.
Step 12: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
