Creamy Smoked Sausage Pasta

Instructions:
Step 1: Cook penne pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
Step 2: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced smoked sausage and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
Step 3: In the same skillet, add sliced onions and bell peppers. Sauté until softened, about 4-5 minutes.
Step 4: Add garlic, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 1 minute.
Step 5: Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir and bring to a simmer.
Step 6: Add cheddar and Parmesan cheese. Stir until melted and sauce is smooth.
Step 7: Return the sausage to the skillet, then add the cooked penne pasta. Toss everything to coat well in the sauce.
Step 8: Let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes until heated through and thickened slightly.
Step 9: Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.

Storage and Reheating Tips:
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in a skillet over low heat, adding a splash of cream or milk to loosen the sauce. Avoid high heat to prevent the sauce from separating.
