Step 1: In a medium bowl, combine shredded mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, and flour. Mix well.
Step 2: Add the beaten egg and mix until the dough comes together.
Step 3: Scoop out small portions of the dough and roll them into bite-sized balls.
Step 4: Place the balls on a tray and refrigerate for 15–20 minutes to firm up.
Step 5: Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
Step 6: Fry the bites in batches for 2–3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Do not overcrowd the pan.
Step 7: Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Step 8: Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and your favorite dipping sauce.
Storage Information
Store leftover mozzarella bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer to restore crispiness. They can also be frozen for up to 1 month—reheat directly from frozen in a hot oven.
