step 1 Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil./n
step 2 Arrange the bacon slices in a single layer on the baking sheet, making sure they do not overlap./n
step 3 Sprinkle black pepper or brown sugar over the bacon if desired for extra flavor./n
step 4 Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 15–20 minutes, depending on thickness and desired crispiness./n
step 5 Check the bacon near the end of cooking to prevent burning.
step 6 Remove from the oven once the bacon is golden and crispy./n
step 7 Transfer the bacon to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess grease.
step 8 Serve immediately and enjoy.
Storage and Reheating Tips
Store cooked bacon in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat in a skillet, microwave, or oven until warmed through and crispy. Bacon can also be frozen for up to 1 month and reheated directly from frozen.
