Duck-Shaped Tea Sandwiches

Instructions

Step 1: In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese, mayonnaise, shredded chicken or ham, chopped cucumber or celery, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
Step 2: Lay out the bread slices and spread an even layer of the filling onto half of them.
Step 3: Top with the remaining bread slices to form sandwiches.
Step 4: Use a duck-shaped cookie cutter to cut each sandwich into duck shapes.
Step 5: Gently press a small carrot triangle onto each duck for the beak.
Step 6: Add tiny sesame seeds or pepper bits to create the eyes.
Step 7: Arrange on a serving plate and chill slightly before serving for best texture.

Storage and Reheating Tips

Store the sandwiches in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 day. To prevent them from drying out, cover with a slightly damp paper towel. These sandwiches are best served cold and are not suitable for reheating.
