Easter Cookie Box

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

Step 2: In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Step 3: In another large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract.

Step 4: Gradually add the dry ingredients to form a soft dough. Chill the dough for 30 minutes.

Step 5: Roll out the dough and cut into Easter-themed shapes such as chicks, carrots, and circles for sandwich cookies.

Step 6: Bake the cookies for 8–10 minutes until lightly golden around the edges. Allow them to cool completely.

Step 7: Decorate the chick cookies with yellow icing, orange beaks and feet, and candy eyes. Decorate carrot cookies with orange and green icing.

Step 8: Prepare the sandwich cookie filling by beating butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until creamy. Spread between two cookies.

Step 9: For the crinkle cookies, mix the cake mix, eggs, and oil until combined. Roll into balls, coat heavily in powdered sugar, and bake for 10–12 minutes.

Step 10: Arrange all decorated cookies in a gift box or serving tray for a festive Easter presentation.

Storage and Reheating Tips

Store the cookies in airtight containers at room temperature for up to 5 days. Refrigerate sandwich cookies if the filling is soft. Crinkle cookies stay freshest when stored separately. These cookies can also be frozen for up to 2 months in sealed containers.
