Easy Comfort Dinner: Steak Bites, Buttery Mash, Cheesy Broccoli & Soft Rolls

Instructions

step 1 Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add cubed potatoes and cook until fork-tender, about 15 minutes.
step 2 While potatoes cook, season steak bites with salt and pepper.
step 3 Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak bites and sear for 2–3 minutes per side until browned.
step 4 Add butter and garlic to the skillet, toss the steak bites to coat, then remove from heat and set aside.
step 5 Drain the cooked potatoes and mash with butter, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
step 6 In a separate pot, boil macaroni until al dente, adding broccoli in the last 2 minutes. Drain and set aside.
step 7 In the same pot, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
step 8 Slowly whisk in milk, stirring constantly until thickened.
step 9 Stir in cheddar cheese, season with salt and pepper, and fold in the cooked pasta and broccoli.
step 10 Warm the dinner rolls, if needed, and plate everything together with gravy over the mash.

Storage and Reheating Tips

Store leftovers in separate airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat steak bites in a skillet to retain texture. Mash and mac can be microwaved with a splash of milk. Rolls can be wrapped in foil and warmed in the oven.
