Instructions

Step 1: Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Step 2: Sear the sliced flank steak for 2–3 minutes until browned on the outside.
Step 3: Transfer the beef to the crockpot.
Step 4: Add sliced onion, bell peppers, and minced garlic on top of the beef.
Step 5: In a bowl, mix soy sauce, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, ginger, and black pepper.
Step 6: Pour the sauce mixture over the ingredients in the crockpot.
Step 7: Cover and cook on low for 6–8 hours or on high for 3–4 hours until the beef is tender.
Step 8: In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry.
Step 9: Stir the slurry into the crockpot and cook for an additional 20–30 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Step 10: Taste and adjust seasoning with salt if needed.
Step 11: Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Storage and Reheating Tips

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
Reheat on the stovetop over medium heat or in the microwave until warmed through.
Freeze for up to 2 months in a freezer-safe container; thaw overnight in the refrigerator before reheating.
