Instructions
Step 1 Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
/n Step 2 Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
/n Step 3 Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear the chicken on both sides until lightly browned, then remove and set aside.
/n Step 4 In the same skillet, melt butter and add sliced onions, cooking slowly over medium-low heat until caramelized and golden brown.
/n Step 5 Stir in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and thyme, letting the mixture simmer for a few minutes.
/n Step 6 Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish and spoon the caramelized onion mixture over the top.
/n Step 7 Sprinkle mozzarella and Gruyère cheese evenly over the chicken.
/n Step 8 Bake for 20–25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
/n Step 9 Broil for 2–3 minutes for a golden, slightly crispy top if desired.
/n Step 10 Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
Storage and Reheating Tips
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat in the oven at 325°F (160°C) until warmed through or microwave individual portions. You can also freeze the dish for up to 2 months; thaw overnight in the refrigerator before reheating.
