Instructions

Step 1 Flatten each slice of bread using a rolling pin and remove the crusts if not already done.

Step 3 Arrange the rolled bread pieces evenly in a greased baking dish.
Step 4 In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, sugars, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
Step 5 Pour the custard mixture evenly over the bread pieces, ensuring they are well coated.
Step 6 Drizzle melted butter over the top.
Step 7 Let the mixture sit for 10–15 minutes to absorb.
Step 8 Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Step 9 Bake for 30–35 minutes or until golden brown and set.
Step 10 Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Step 11 Dust with powdered sugar and serve with maple syrup.
