Instructions
Step 1: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Step 2: In another bowl, combine the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
Step 3: Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until a smooth batter forms.
Step 4: Heat a lightly greased nonstick pan over medium heat.
Step 5: Pour the batter into the pan in the shape of a painter’s palette, leaving a small round opening near the bottom.
Step 6: Cook until bubbles appear on the surface, then carefully flip and cook the other side until golden brown.
Step 7: Melt the chocolate and use it to draw the outline of the palette and create paintbrush shapes on the plate.
Step 8: Place the pancake on a serving plate and decorate it with the fresh fruits to resemble paint colors on an artist’s palette.
Step 9: Serve warm with syrup, honey, or whipped cream if desired.
Storage and Reheating Tips
Store leftover pancakes in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet over low heat or microwave for 20–30 seconds until warm. Fresh fruit should be added just before serving for the best appearance and taste.
