Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
Step 2: Melt the butter and chopped chocolate together in a heatproof bowl until smooth.
Step 3: Whisk in the granulated sugar and brown sugar until combined.
Step 4: Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Step 5: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
Step 6: Fold the dry ingredients into the chocolate mixture until just combined.
Step 7: Stir in the chocolate chips and chopped nuts if using.
Step 8: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
Step 9: Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until the edges are set and the center is still slightly fudgy. Allow the brownies to cool completely before slicing.
Storage and Reheating Tips
Store Fudgy Chocolate Brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
For a warm and gooey texture, microwave brownies for 10 to 15 seconds before serving.
Brownies can also be frozen in airtight containers for up to 3 months.
