Instructions

step 1 Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a bit of oil or butter.
step 2 Cook the sausages until browned and cooked through, about 10–12 minutes. Set aside.
step 3 In the same pan, cook the bacon until crispy or to your preference. Remove and set aside.
step 4 Add sliced mushrooms to the pan and sauté until browned and tender.
step 5 Cook the hash browns according to package instructions or fry them until golden and crispy.
step 6 Crack the egg into the pan and fry until the whites are set but the yolk is still runny, or to your liking.
step 7 Toast and butter the bread slices.
step 8 Warm baked beans in a small saucepan if using.
step 9 Assemble everything on a plate. Season the egg with salt and pepper.
step 10 Serve hot with brown sauce or ketchup drizzled on top.

Storage and Reheating Tips.

This breakfast is best served fresh, but leftovers can be stored in separate airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat sausages, bacon, and hash browns in a skillet or oven. Reheat the egg separately in the microwave or skillet. Toast is best made fresh for serving.
