Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Step 2: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease.
Step 3: Add kidney beans, tomato sauce, ketchup, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine and simmer for 5 minutes.
Step 4: Spread the chili mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
Step 5: Nestle the hot dogs into the chili, spacing them evenly across the dish.
Step 6: Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese generously over the top.
Step 7: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Step 8: Let cool slightly before serving. Add desired toppings and enjoy!
Storage Information
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat individual portions in the microwave or reheat in the oven at 350°F until warmed through. This casserole also freezes well—cool completely, wrap tightly, and freeze for up to 2 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight and bake until hot.
