Instructions
Step 1: Prepare your steamed jasmine rice according to package directions and set aside on a plate.
Step 2: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat for about one minute.
Step 3: Add the minced garlic to the hot oil and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
Step 4: Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the skillet in a single layer.
Step 5: Season the shrimp with paprika, black pepper, and salt to taste.
Step 6: Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on the first side without stirring, allowing them to develop a golden crust.
Step 7: Flip the shrimp and cook for another 1-2 minutes on the second side until they turn pink and opaque.
Step 8: Add the butter to the skillet and toss the shrimp gently to coat them in the garlic butter sauce.
Step 9: Remove from heat and stir in fresh parsley and optional chili flakes.
Step 10: Arrange the fresh lettuce and cherry tomatoes on your plate, add the steamed rice, and top with the garlic butter shrimp.
Storage and Reheating Tips
Store leftover cooked shrimp in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days. Keep the rice and fresh greens separate for the best texture and freshness.
To reheat, gently warm the shrimp in a skillet over low heat with a touch of butter to restore moisture. Avoid microwaving, as this can make the shrimp rubbery and tough.
The fresh greens and tomatoes are best enjoyed fresh, so prepare those just before serving if you have leftovers of the other components.
