Instructions
Step 1: Heat your olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it’s shimmering and ready to sear.
Step 2: Season your beef cubes generously with salt, black pepper, and dried herbs on all sides.
Step 3: Sear the steak bites in the hot skillet for 2-3 minutes per side until they develop a beautiful golden-brown crust. Work in batches if needed to avoid overcrowding.
Step 4: Reduce heat to medium, then add butter and minced garlic to the skillet, stirring continuously for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Step 5: Prepare your French fries according to package directions until they’re golden and crispy.
Step 6: Plate the crispy fries and top with the shredded cheese while they’re still hot, allowing it to melt beautifully.
Step 7: Arrange the garlic butter steak bites alongside or on top of the cheesy fries and serve immediately.
Storage and Reheating Tips
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Keep the steak bites and fries separate from the cheese to prevent sogginess.
To reheat, place the steak bites in a skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes until warmed through. Reheat fries in a 375°F oven for about 5 minutes to restore their crispiness.
For best results, add fresh cheese on top of the fries after reheating to enjoy that melty, gooey texture once again.
