Instructions
Step 1: Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain the pasta.
Step 2: Season the steak pieces with salt, black pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
Step 3: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Step 4: Add the steak pieces and sear for 2 to 3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Step 5: In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
Step 6: Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Step 7: Return the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic butter sauce.
Step 8: Add reserved pasta water a little at a time until the sauce lightly coats the pasta.
Step 9: Stir in the Parmesan cheese and cooked steak pieces.
Step 10: Garnish with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan cheese before serving.
Step 11: Serve warm and enjoy.
Storage and Reheating Tips
Store leftover garlic butter steak pasta in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheat gently in a skillet over low heat with a splash of water or broth to keep the pasta moist.
Freezing is not recommended, as the steak texture may change after thawing.
